Privacy policy

Effective

Lull & Log is made by Cosmin Nechifor. It is a white-noise player and feeding log for parents of newborns. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics code and no tracking, and we never sell or share your data.

What stays on your phone

Everything you put into the app is stored only on your phone:

  • Your baby’s details: name, and if you add them, date of birth and sex.
  • The log: feeds (side, times, bottle amounts), diapers and vitamin D, and when sounds played.
  • Your recordings, if you record your own sound, and their names.
  • Settings such as theme, units and reminders.

We have no server that receives any of this, and we can’t see it. The home-screen widget and the Live Activity read from the app on your phone, and never show your baby’s name.

Phone backups

If iCloud Backup (iPhone) or Google backup (Android) is on, your phone includes the log and settings in that backup, so they come back on a new phone. That backup belongs to your Apple or Google account and follows their terms; we can’t access it. Recordings are left out of phone backups on purpose.

If you save a backup file from Settings, it contains the log, settings and recordings, and goes wherever you choose to send it. Keep it somewhere you trust.

When the app goes online

The app works without a connection. It goes online only for:

  1. App updates. When it starts, the app asks Expo’s update service (EAS Update, run by 650 Industries, Inc.) whether a newer version of its code exists. The request contains the platform (iOS or Android), the app’s version identifiers, the IDs of the app code it is running, and a random ID created when the app is first opened, which isn’t linked to you, your phone or your Apple or Google account. If the app crashed on the previous start, the request also includes that error message. It never contains your log, recordings, settings or your baby’s details. Expo uses these requests to deliver updates and to count how many phones run each version and how often it crashes. See Expo’s privacy policy.
  2. Tips. The Support screen asks the App Store or Google Play for tip prices, and if you choose to tip, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.

Feed reminders are scheduled on your phone; no server sends them.

Microphone

The microphone is used only while you record your own sound in the Library, and only after you allow it. Recordings stay on your phone.

Children

Lull & Log is for parents and caregivers, not for children to use. Details about your baby that you enter stay on your phone as described above.

Deleting your data

Deleting a baby in Settings deletes that baby’s log. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your phone. Copies in a phone backup or a backup file are removed by deleting that backup or file.

This website

lullandlog.com counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records the page you visited, the site that sent you, your browser and type of device, your country, and how quickly the page loaded. It uses no cookies, and it doesn’t fingerprint you or follow you across other sites. None of it is connected to the app or to anything you enter in it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
