Common questions

The sound stops when I lock the phone.

It shouldn’t: sound keeps playing with the screen locked and shows controls on the Lock Screen. Check that the timer isn’t set to a short time, and that Low Power Mode or a battery saver isn’t closing the app.

How loud should it be?

Your phone’s volume buttons set the level. Keep it as low as does the job, keep the phone well away from your baby’s head, and use CALM for a softer setting.

How do I add the widget?

iPhone: touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen, tap Edit (or +), then Add Widget, and choose Lull & Log. It fits on the Lock Screen too: touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize. Android: touch and hold the home screen, tap Widgets, and choose Lull & Log. A tap on the widget starts your last sound.

The feed timer doesn’t show on my Lock Screen.

On iPhone the running feed or sound shows as a Live Activity. If it doesn’t appear, open the iPhone’s Settings, find Lull & Log, and turn on Live Activities.

Reminders arrive at night, or don’t arrive.

Feed reminders come 3 hours after the last feed ends. Between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. they arrive silently. Turn them off with Silence notifications in Settings, and make sure notifications are allowed for Lull & Log in your phone’s settings.

I’m getting a new phone. How do I keep my log?

If iCloud Backup (iPhone) or Google backup (Android) is on, the log and settings come back when you restore the backup. Recordings aren’t in phone backups: save a backup file from Settings on the old phone and restore it on the new one to bring them along.

Is my data shared with anyone?

No. The log and recordings stay on your phone. The only times the app goes online are to check for its own updates and, on the Support screen, for tip prices. The privacy policy has the details.

Do tips unlock anything?

No. Everything is free. Tips are one-off purchases that simply say thanks.

Is this medical advice?

No. Lull & Log records what you enter and never interprets it. If feeding worries you, talk to your midwife, health visitor or doctor.
